Just a quick check-in this morning! I have a million things I need to get done between today and tomorrow so that I will be ready to leave bright and early Thursday morning for New Orleans!!! Yes!!! I am heading to New Orleans for a long weekend!! I can't wait! I have wanted to visit there forever!! My girl Cathy celebrates her birthday there every year and asked me to come along for the party this year! I am so thrilled! I can't wait to see all the beautiful and historic architecture, eat some good 'ol cajun food, and just relax and enjoy Bourbon Street! I have yet to put a dang thing into my suitcase so that is the plan for today and tomorrow, along with some simple house cleaning (so that mom doesn't have to live here in a sty for the weekend), as well as run to the post office, grocery store, bank etc..oh yeah, treating myself to a pedicure tomorrow afternoon too!

I will be back on Sunday and hopefully have lots to share next week with pictures and tales of life in the Big Easy!!
