I just have to share my happy feelings today! I've been so blessed to have landed a job at my local scrapbook store and it's the BEST!! The owners, Carol and Tracy are so cool to work for, very laid back. Both are moms so they know and understand the demands of motherhood and raising children which I am so grateful for because with Roger gone so much I'm pretty much the parent who has to be here for Mandi 24/7. My hours are awesome 10 - 4, 3 days a week. I don't have to be there until after Mandi is on the bus to school and I'm home about an hour after she is (she is in junior high and is now old enough to come home by herself). I get a great discount on product (this helps with my addiction you know) and I'm meeting some really great scrapping buddies as well! I've had a tough time these past few years really figuring out what it is I want to do with myself now that Mandi is older and Roger is traveling for work so much, this job I think is God's way of answering my constant prayers. I feel so thankful and have found a new happiness in life. I've made quite a few changes over these past couple months, changes that needed to happen but I was being too passive about. I finally decided the time was now, after all we only get one go around at this right? I can't even begin to explain how different I feel and what a different outlook I have now.
Ok, it's Labor Day and time to head outside. Hard to believe that this is our "official" end of summer holiday..bummer! Oh well, Autumn is my favorite season and I'm kinda ready to pull out my sweaters!
