It's Happened!!!!!

Yep, it's finally happened, I am now the mother of a....TEENAGER!!! ARGH!!! Where did time go? Didn't I just have this little girl yesterday? Well, most days it seems like it was just a minute ago but as with any pre-teen or teenager, then there are those days where you feel like it will never end LOL!

So, Mandi turned thirteen! We spent an awesome day hanging out at Navy Pier, as Mandi loves Navy Pier. This year her birthday happened to fall around Chicago's Air and Water Show and we were lucky enough to get to see the Blue Angels rehearsing all day for the show...how cool and LOUD they were! It was fun. We had lunch at Riva's, walked around the pier, had some Dippin' Dots (if you've never had these, you've gotta try them, waaay cool little freeze dried dots of ice cream..yummy)then we took a speedboat ride on Lake Michigan while they blasted rock and roll music (again, very cool), had dinner at Bubba Gumps and then did some shopping! We got home after dark and all of us hit the sack!








Seriously, it's very hard for me to wrap my brain around the fact that I don't have a little girl anymore?? I never thought that my time would be going so fast with her, another blink of my eye and she will be all grown with a family of her own I imagine...I suppose it teaches us to cherish the moment, take care to relish in the now and enjoy it while you have it.

I enjoy my daughter....Happy Birthday Mandi!
