indulgence!

In keeping with my picture a day of something that makes me smile or that I'm thankful for, here is today's!



I love Dr. Pepper! Can I just say that again, and louder this time, I LOVE DR. PEPPER!!!! It is seriously, next to chocolate, one of my guiltiest pleasures. I, however, rarely give in to my love for this tasty beverage because, well, lets be honest, it's loaded with calories, caffeine, and sugar..it just does not do a body good, and before you say to me "well Cricket, just drink diet, it tastes the same.." I will say, with every fiber of my being, a very loud and aggressive "HECK NO, IT DOES NOT TASTE THE SAME!!!" LOL! If I can't enjoy the fully loaded version of my favorite beverage, then I don't want it at all!!!

This morning, I decided after ignoring the one, lonely little bottle of said soda delightfulness in my fridge, that I would take today as my day to indulge and pour myself a nice big glass of Dr. Pepper! It was divine! In fact, I might have just heard some angels sing!! I certainly wanted to as I took my very first sip! It's so sad, and yet so fabulous that something so small and insignificant in the world as a soda, can made a person so totally happy! Yes, this morning I walked around with a big smile, savoring this glass of Dr. Pepper and thanking the soda god's above for their creation!

So, what is it that you would like to indulge in today? What is your guilty pleasure? Allow yourself to give in to them on occasion, life's to short not to enjoy!
