A week! Yep, it's been a week since my last post! However, life is normal (a good thing) and I don't have a ton to share. I spent last Tuesday at the cafe with my friend making curtains and it was a riot! We only managed to get one set of the two done so I will be heading back there in a couple weeks so we can finish the other set off! The rest of the week I cleaned house, I scrapped and I went to a crop on Friday night..yay!! See, nothing too exciting but a good week anyway!

Roger has had a couple schedule changes so he didn't make it home last weekend..boo...but will be here this one (keeping fingers crossed!) and as of now, we have the weekend to just hang, no big plans going on yet!

On the scrappy front, been working on scrapping some older pics and playing with them in PSE. This latest page used some pics of Mandi from 1998. Every year when she was little I took her to Marshall Field's (it's now Macy's) for "breakfast with Santa". It was always so fun! We would get to enter the store way before opening...have this yummy breakfast, and get to visit with Santa. The Santa they had was FABULOUS! He had so much "jolliness" (is that a word? LOL) and was always so fun and cute...looked the part perfectly too, that Mandi was never afraid to sit on him lap or visit with him! I sure miss those days, they went by in the blink of an eye...now, as a 15 year old I asked her if we could go sit on Santa's lap and get a picture this year (both of us..it would be a riot) and she looked at me like I had rocks for brains! LOL Oh well...

Used up some old Basic Grey holiday papers from a couple years ago (or maybe last year) and some new Teresa Collins papers I scored while in Arizona in September! Otherwise, just a simple layout...oh yeah, had fun using the Bazzill Stitches templates...I think, for me, hand stitching the layouts is the way to go...I can use the machine, but it just always looks icky to me...so, I'm saving my machine for fabric sewing and using my hand for layouts!! I also used my Nestabilites for the scalloped black circle (the December 25th embellie is a Teresa Collins too!) and some Cosmo Cricket and Thickers for the title!



Friday night I said I went to a crop...Mania at Archiver's with Amy and Tracy. It was fun and I got some stuff actually accomplished...plus...didn't spent a ton of cash either (however I did score the new BG Wassail line...yay!!)....I've decided that for me, cropping out of the house is easier if I work on mini albums and kits. I actually just had my one bag, my tools and that was it! Easy to carry into the store....and I had everything I needed. I'm working on a kit from Carol Wingert (of course, my favorite) and can't wait until it's done..it's sooooo cool! I also was enabled by Miss Amy to join a kit club! I don't normally join them (I did years ago and found that I never totally used them), but her Studio Calico kits are soooo cool that I just couldn't resist! Anyways, I am now the proud owner of a Studio Calico membership, can't wait to get my first one!!

Alright, I think that's about all for me today...need to get my rear in gear and workout (I'm posting this way early in the a.m) before I become glued to this seat LOL! I love doing my workouts, been doing them faithfully for almost 6 months now and boy do I feel great...it's so funny, I used to have to drag my arse to do them, now I am bumming if I can't...Mary told me this would happen and I didn't believe her LOL! So, off I go.....
