Journal Your Christmas!!!

And so it starts...December 1st and my attempts to complete another holiday album! This year instead of doing Ali Edwards "December Daily", I am also going to be doing Shimelle Lane's "Journal Your Christmas". I think that I will be going rogue this year and trying to incorporate both of these talented ladies ideas into my one album.

I like how Shimelle gives you a daily prompt to get you motivated and thinking and creating. I like the simplicity that Ali's "December Daily" offers in the basic documenting of your daily lives! I thought to myself, why not do both? Some days I won't have pictures, I mean, come on...I'm a stay-at-home mom who leads a pretty basic life, one that I love but still people, I'm not doing rocket science or solving the world's problems on a daily basis..LOL, and so having journaling as pages seems to help alleviate the stress of having to have a photo to tell my holiday story!

And, I will be doing this all digi again! Today I went on a whopper of a shopping spree, spending quite the time making my decisions on what papers and elements I want to use. I want to keep it simple again. Just one set of patterned papers, and a few basic colors (Kraft, Black, Red, Ivory) and a few elements to help set the pages in motion. I will use some of my elements from last years book as I really love some of them and can't see never using them again...I mean! It's just too fun to be able to create this book without the hassle of paper and glue and being able to move stuff around, resize to need and re-color, make more or less transparent...blah, blah, blah...I could go on and on...so, yep, digi it is! That in itself will help to keep me on task this season with my little project.

My hope is to share my pages here, on my blog, like I did last year...might be that one day goes by and I don't, but the next post will have that much more to look at! Hee hee...

so, without further adieu, here it is, my December 1st page. A "manifesto" as Shimelle calls it. The intention with which I create this years album. No picture, just words and I love it just the same....
