Wow, I can't believe that we are actually almost at the end of May! Where did this month go to? Wasn't it just yesterday that I was celebrating my birthday and Mother's Day? Now, in a couple days...two to be exact, my baby girl will graduate!
This will most likely be my last post for the month..well, maybe LOL...seriously though, my sister will be coming in to visit and attend Mandi's graduation and we have a ton of stuff planned...good picture taking opportunities too!!
I really don't like posting without something to share, and I finally got around to photographing my Cambodia mini album that I finished up a couple months back so I figure I will share it here for you. I'm not sure if Blogger allows for putting "albums" into our blogs like you can in Typepad (another reason I'm considering making a move) and I've tried to investigate but I can't find how to do it so I have them uploaded in Photobucket instead!
This mini album was sooooo much fun to create. I used a ton of techniques that I learned by helping t.a. for Debby Schuh at CKU Chicago this past March. The album itself is made of chipboard. I had originally planned on using my Bind-It-All for the binding but the darn thing wound up being too FAT!!! so, instead I had to use large binder rings. The pages are Bazzill cardstock to which I added my patterned papers etc. Most of this album consists of the K & Co. Wild Saffron line, but I did find some Fancy Pants papers and schtuff that does match pretty well so I threw them in here and there!
I tried to pick pictures that best depicted our stay in Cambodia. Focusing on each thing we did each day and let me tell you, that was a job in itself! Between the four of us I think we had 15 disks of pictures...thousands of them!! I also incorporated some hidden journaling and some homemade pockets to hold things like money, ticket stubs, etc...
All in all I am really happy with how this turned out! Oh yeah, another thing I did was take a journal with me. Each night after we got back to the hotel, I would write down the days events. That was HUGE for me when it came time to make this book. I was able to re-call all we did, feelings, etc. I typed my journaling onto the computer and did printouts for the album but I then took my original journal pages and have included them in one of my memento pockets...soooo glad I did that!!
I think you just have to click on the picture and it will take you to Photobucket and show you the album....I think! LOL
That's all for me today.....
Until next time,
Blessings!
