LOL! Actually, that is what this layout here is! I entered a challenge that my friend
Simone had going on her blog
Scrap Your Crap! The crap she sent to me was the green paper lace. I admit, at first I was like..humm..what am I doing with this?!! Actually, I waited until 3 days before the deadline and this idea came to me. I guess it pays to procrastinate huh? While in Malaysia this past January, we visited a temple and these two beautiful men allowed us to take their picture! I have this huge fascination with monks. The sight of them literally stops me in my tracks and I saw so many of them in Cambodia and Malaysia. Typically, monks do not get close to women at all! These men actually allowed me to sit in front of them and have my picture taken as well, and I can't tell you how special that was for me! For this layout, I stamped my cardstock with a flourish stamp, then added the scalloped Bazzill piece, some Hambly transparency, the green paper lace onto which I added some cream paper ribbon by Creative Imaginations. I had collected some chopsticks from the airport lounge in Japan and decided to paint them to match the one monks robe, using a quote from Buddha and a chinese symbol clip art, I printed onto transparency and painted with the same matching color to finish it off! I'm really pleased with how this all came together, just a simple layout....

I had to wait until today to post it though. You should go check out the Scrap Your Crap blog, there are some seriously cool projects that the other players created in this challenge!
This is actually the first real challenge I've ever participated in and I had a great time with it! Thanks Simone!!
Until next time,
Blessings!

Great layout!!! I love that idea . . . scrap your crap. It would be fun to send a bunch of crap to a person and they could only use the crap you sent them to make a layout. ;)
