So, I've been busy working on my mini album from the trip I took in January to Cambodia. I have just a few more pages to create and then I think I'll be done. I'm a little concerned however because I am using my bind-it-all to make it, which is fine, but I have a tendency to create pretty "fat" albums. I purchased the largest size coil wire bindings that you can for it and it looks like I might be cutting it really close. I'm hoping that the coils will fit because if not, I'm screwed big time!! UGH!!! I've had a blast making it though, going through all the pics, remembering all those moments. This is actually the first trip, besides my 10 year anniversary trip that Roger and I took way the heck back in 2000 that I've actually scrapped!! Yep, I'm a bad scrapbooker LOL!!
I was chatting tonight on another group and this gal was talking about how her landscapers had found a rattlesnake in her backyard today! That got me to thinking, I'm not afraid of snakes. I wouldn't want one living in my backyard but as far as the ick factor goes, I'm not bugged by them at all! When Roger and I were in the Dominican Republic we had snakes every morning crawling out by the pool...not huge ones, but snakes none the less...we usually just tossed water on them and they slithered away!
It made total sense to me then, that when we were in Malaysia this past January (part of the Cambodia trip), that we visit a snake temple. Of course, I wanted my pic taken with the snakes. They really are a cool creature. Very soft, skin that feels like leather and cool to the touch, not slimy like most people tend to imagine! This is a Boa around my neck and two Vipers on my head. The Boa was very cool, he wiggled about behind my neck and it tickled me! The Vipers, being very deadly snakes, had their venom removed so they were safe to touch. They didn't move around too much, except the one hanging down in front kinda keep wanting to stick his head in my face! LOL
I had forgot all about these pictures until this conversation came up tonight....being behind on the blog I figured I'd share my snake pic with ya'll!
Cool huh? LOL!! Seriously, I have no issues with our reptilian friends, even wanted to get an iguana at one time...how cool are they??!! But, spiders....yeouch, that's a whole other story.....
Until next time,
Blessings

We took a pix like that of Rach years ago in florida. When the guy started walking towards us with the snake, I shot up like a cannon & was all the way across the room before he'd even made it over to her.
I'm with you on the spider thing!! Yuck....
I don't think I'd want to touch a snake out in "real life" and I know I'd never put one on me...but I admire you..you're one brave chick!!!

They don't bother me, but I don't want to wear them either...LOL

You are *so* brave! I am deathly afraid of snakes, so I'm so impressed that you have that thing all over you. LOL
Cricket! This is so cool! You look so pretty. I am not afraid of snakes either. They are just another one of God's creatures. Now the spiders........think about it, the spider has a lot more to fear than you do!! One false move on his part and Blammo! he's toast! LOL!
