December Daily - Day Eight

If I can say so myself, I'm really happy with this layout! I pulled it together a couple nights ago, actually the same night I did my Day Seven layout. I had finished dinner and was just gonna putter a bit on the layout and it just totally came together quickly for me!

I've explained before that I'm doing my December Daily album only with a few papers and elements, all digital and I pick just one thing from each day and document that, instead of say, documenting my entire day. While I'd love to have some sort of holiday fun each day, my life just doesn't allow for that, so some days I am able to document something we have done, and other days I am documenting something "holiday-ish". I can say that all the photos (with the exception of my ornament layout) have been taken on the day that coincides with the layout. I don't know that I'll do this type of album each December, but doing one for this year has certainly be very enjoyable for me!

My Day Eight layout is about the supplies I have stockpiled for wrapping and sending my Christmas gifts. I didn't give this layout too much thought but, like I said, it is one of my favorites!!



Life outside of scrapping is going well. Mandi had her final exams this week and has done very well, I am so proud of her. I received a call from her advisor at school just to tell me how pleased she is with Mandi's success during her first semester of her Freshman year and that she hasn't seen a student transition so well into high school in a long time as Mandi has! It's such a blessing for me to hear this, I know how anxious I was about Mandi starting high school this fall, the fears I had for her entering into a totally different world! LOL! and, I see how happy my girl is, that is the best gift I could ever receive!

It's hard to believe that we are a week away from Christmas! The next few days will involve a lot of house cleaning and getting things finalized for the big day! Sunday is my annual cookie baking day and I can't wait....sugar cookies here I come!!

Alright, off to fix some dinner and wait for the big snow storm we are expecting tonight..ugh! oh well...it is what it is!
