December Daily - Day Fourteen

Here I am, Christmas Eve and waiting very patiently for the festivities to begin. The house is ready, the food is set, the gifts are wrapped, the trees are lit. I just need my mom to arrive (any minute now) and another Christmas celebration will begin. Christmas 2008! I've been blessed to have 45 Christmas's and I hope that there will be another 45 in my future! To all my family and friends, I wish you all a Very Merry Christmas!!

okay, so I figure, while I wait for "Santa" I might as well share with you my next entry into my December Daily, Day 14! I love Christmas trees and I love having more than one in my house! This year I decided I wanted to add a small one to my kitchen (something I had been thinking of doing for a few years now and just never got around to it) and on that tree I wanted to hang my collection of antique cookie cutters! I found the perfect little tree at Target, but, alas, it was too big for the area I wanted to put it originally and too small to just stand on the floor! What's a girl to do? I thought, and I thought and I decided that a trip to the antique mall to look for some wooden milk crates was just what I needed to do to solve this dilemma! I wandered the mall for about 30 mins. not finding just what I was looking for and then I turned a corner and viola! I found three crates (from different dealers) that were PERFECT for the job! I picked them up, headed home and began getting my tree together! I strung just one string of lights on it (didn't want too many) and hung the cookie cutters with some homespun fabric and, while at Target, I found these adorable rustic looking jingle bell ornaments that I added to the tree as well! I took a fabric napkin and used that for a skirt around the base and there she sits!! My new favorite tree! I filled in the crates with some of my folk art snowmen and santas and I have to admit, I just love how it looks, this display, sitting in my kitchen! I will be sad come this weekend when all the decorations come down...

So, I decided to do my layout for December 14th about my new tree and it's display!

Alright, I guess that will be it for me this Christmas Eve. I hope Santa is good to all of you!

Until next time,
Blessings!
