that chore done!

Wow, it seems like I've spent the entire summer trying to get all the digi stuff I had unzipped and organized into my software program! It seems that way because I have!! Yesterday, though, I finally saw the light at the end of the tunnel...I finished it all!! Yep, it's all been unzipped, and organized into all the various files so that I can now see what I have instead of fishing blindly in the mess that WAS my digi stash! I was so happy that I actually let out a big YAHOO!! I know, some of you might be thinking, geez, how much stuff and how long can that take? Trust me, I had a lot of stuff and it took a long time. I wanted every stinkin thing I had labeled (brad, flower, striped paper, polka dot paper...you get the picture) that meant not only filing it all in the proper kit, but then taking each individual piece from the kit and labeling them...we are talking over 10,000 individual things...see, told ya it was alot!! So, now it's done. My plan is to stay on top of this now, that when I download something, that I unzip it right away and file it...that way I won't get soooo behind and feel like I am tackling an unsurmountable amount of work!

So, what do I do now that it's all ready to roll??? I scrap of course! Did a page tonight with some pics I took last week of Miss Mandi. She was hanging out front later one afternoon (it was a beautiful day outside...mild temps, sun shining) listening to her iPod and so I grabbed my camera and took a few pics! Played around with a few different elements tonight...tried a film strip (not sure if I approached the way to use it correctly, but it works for now), and actually used more than one photo on this page (lately I'm a one photo kinda gal!)...I like it, sorta different than my other work but heck, ya gotta step outta the routine once and awhile right?!

Now if I could just get a handle on my camera so that I took better pictures...why oh why can't I figure that out??!! I sometimes think I am going to just have to give it up, take the pics I take and be happy and scrappy with those..bad lighting, bad composition, bad everything...oh well!

In other news....spent the weekend with my circle journal girls! We headed out to Michigan to a scrap bed and breakfast, it was fun! Got to hang out, eat bad food, have a glass of wine (or two) and work on scrap stuff. I finished a project that I received last year, yes, I said last year, at Creative Escape! Can you believe that I didn't take one picture? I schlepped my poor camera and all it's lens with me and never took them outta the bag! Thank heavens the other girls took some pics and sent them to me! Rachel snapped this one of Carol and me...

Okay, that's about it for me now...off to read some more in my book (New Moon by Stephanie Meyer), gotta finish it so I can read her latest edition to the series, Eclipse...just released yesterday and Mandi has it in her hot little hands..such good reading!

Oh yeah, this is Mandi's birthday month, so in honor of my sweet girl, I've changed up the music to one of her fav's at the moment (I like it too!!)...gotta love my baby, she's as addicted to music as her dad and I are! enjoy!!

Until next time,
Blessings!

I hope this finally works. Or you can just scrap with paper. Love the layout of LiLo. I can't believe how grown up she is in just the few years I have known her. Love the song too. Jack and Sofia both know all of the words. Cute picture of us. I had fun too...hehe.
