Second croppin layout!

Stayed up late last night and was able to finish off the layout that I had worked on during my weekend crop! I had originally put this puppy (no pun intended) to bed as well as myself but sometime after midnight, when I was still awake (argh!), I decided to putter with it some more...well, I hit a roll and finished it off. I'm pretty happy with it. Used my new Cutterbee retractable knife to cut the chipboard covered letters (thanks to some enabling by Carla and Cathy at Saturdays crop)! I think I'm going to be giving this whole handcutting thing another go! Also used some puffy paint to make the polka dots (another lifted technique from the fabulous Nancy V on SIS) and that was fun! So, here it is. This is an older photo taken before I went digi, it's Miss Mandi with Ozzi when he was just a puppy! Products used include Bazzill, Crate Paper, Luxe Rub-ons, Autumn Leaves Rub-ons and stamp, BG chipboard, puffy paint and miscellaneous buttons.
What I didn't include were the other cute pics that go with this (they are in another layout)...this whole "scene" was Mandi bending down to kiss Ozzi and I have shots of the entire process, complete with little Miss Mandi and her lips full on to Ozzi's..it's so stinkin' cute! After her kiss, she looked at the camera and this is that shot!

Mandi starts school tomorrow, got the camera charging and hoping I can get a nice shot of her first day of 8th grade...think she'll mind if I take "first day" pics of her all the way through high school?? LOL!! Hard to keep telling myself that my girl is now 14...oy! So, on that note, it will be an early night tonight for the both of us..ugh! No more staying up late and sleeping in..bummer!! I'm soooo not looking forward to that alarm going off tomorrow...

Until next time,
Blessings

Ok! Firstly, there is a positive side to everything. When Mandi goes to school tomorrow, you have so much time on your hands to do the things you wouldn't normally be able to do when Mandi is around... Don't ask me what, because you probably do everything together anyway...

Secondly, those photos you have of Mandi kissing Ozzi need to be scrapped!!! Lets see em!

Thirdly, LOVE the layout! I especially love your innovative uses for the 'd's. I love that unconventional aspect on a page! It shows resourcefulness!

As for your DD off to 8th grade, mine starts Tuesday.....UGH...they do grow up fast. Take lots of pictures.......while you can.....wait till she hits 16...my DD doesnt come near the camera. She was actually quite nice Sunday at the Faire and in a giving mood for me to get some pictures of her...that is very rare! Well back to work. Hope you have a great day!
