Time flies...

Wow, my baby girl just turned 14 this past weekend!! I swear it was just yesterday I was bringing her sweet self home from the hospital...time is just flying by! I suppose every mom has these same feelings, that their little ones are growing up way too fast, but I swear, she is!!! Wasn't I just changing a diaper and warming a bottle...wasn't I just teaching her to ride a bike and tie her shoes??? Now, as a bonafide "teen" it's like she teaches me! LOL new music, new words, new shows...I thought at one point I was cool, that at one point I was never gonna be one of those old moms who used lame language in an attempt to sound like she was "hip" but, alas, I AM one of those moms, most days, when I try to act like I'm cool and in the know, she just rolls her eyes at me like I'm some sort of alien!!! ARGH!!!!!!!! What happened and when did this happen? Oh, the tragedy of it all LOL!!

We had a good weekend, Roger was in town for the big day and we hung out, took the girl shopping, and then out to the Cheesecake Factory for dinner...home to open gifts (all things techno and dvd-ish...ya know, that's all a teen wants, that and money), and then munched down some ice cream cake! I took some pics and will upload them another night...all in all, a nice way for her to turn 14!

So, with the advent of my baby being no so baby anymore, I decided, like any mother mourning the passing years, to scrap a picture of her when she was just a wee one! This photo was taken back in the day of film...I'm thinking it was around 2002 (that's what I dated it at anyways...and it's pretty dang close), while we were visiting family in Colorado. Roger and I took Miss Mandi up to a mountain and took some shots of her...I really like this picture, even though her face is kinda shadowed and all but I just really like it! I actually have this framed and in the house. I used the awesome Weeds & Wildflowers Welcoming Spring collection. I just love Weeds & Wildflowers, everything is soooo pretty!!

I've got one week left of my little girl being home, then it's back to school and another year on the books...

Until next time,
Blessings!

Such a sweet LO! Love it. The colors are perfect.

Are you starting to like digi better or something? How do you print out a digi LO? Do you have to have a 12 x 12 printer?

Now remember, on Saturday I need you to teach me a few techniques on stamping and stuff like that. : )

Oh Yes Cricket time does fly. I feel your pain. I really do. Tara our oldest will be 21 tomorrow! GASP where does time go? This is why I love to scrapbook so I can enjoy their days of youth with the photos. Love that LO you did. The colours are yummy. Isn't being a Mom the best gift in the world? Such a blessing.

Have a great day.

Cricket? My son turned 14 also Saturday 8-18.....just curious if they have the same b-day and are the same age....how weird is that.....something that we have in common. Anyways.......they do grow fast......thats why I keep the camera going at all times!

Love the layout and the colours and I need to know which program you use to digi scrap because you mentioned that PS was something you didn't quite understand. You rock the digi stuff though! AND the paper stuff.

I know just what you mean about time flying! Zane (my eldest) is now 24, doing his own thing and needing a shake-up when it comes to calling his mother! I also like to remind my 12 year old that I was much older than him at his age... makes me want to cry sometimes!
